Frequently Asked Questions

What is the booking process?

When you're ready to book and know the room(s) and date(s) you want, the process is very simple. All we need are your names and dates of birth to hold a reservation at Sandals Resorts. Once the reservation is held we will send you confirmation to review via email and if all looks good you can follow the instructions to log into your reservation on the Sandals website and make the deposit payment. We do not handle any personal information, such as payment details, unless you specifically request we process payments for you.

It can also be broken up into two payments, one of $98 within 7 days of booking and the remaining $302 due within 21 days of booking. Once the deposit is paid that holds your room until final payment is due 60 days prior to check-in. You won't be required to put anything else down if you don't wish to, until final payment.

Can I do a payment plan?

Yes. Once the deposit is paid, you can pay as little or as much as you'd like toward your balance anytime up until final payment by logging into your reservation on the Sandals website.

There is also the option to use Uplift* through Sandals. For more about this payment plan and the terms and conditions, click here. *Please note: If you choose to use the Uplift method of payment, you will need to book directly on our Sandals affiliate link here and formally request (via email to Sandals) we be authorized to access the reservation in order for us to be able to add you into this group. If you use this method, it's important that you contact us soon as your are booked for instructions on how to be added into the group. You may use the transfer form found here.

What is the refund policy?

Anything paid on the room is fully refundable up until 60 days prior to travel (subject to change based on Sandals policies which can be found here).

Flights and insurance are both non-refundable when booked and paid for. For flights, you will need to see the terms and conditions of the airline directly for the most accurate information.

What if the room price drops after I've booked?

Thankfully, Sandals is flexible on this. As long as your room is not paid in full and the category is still available we can match the lower rate for you. We can also upgrade you to a better room category if a deal comes up for a different room than the one you're booked in.

Can I stay a shorter or longer amount of time?

Yes, you can book for more or less nights. However, Sandals Resorts has a minimum of 3 nights for their promotional rate so if you stay for only 1 or 2 nights the cost will be significantly more to stay than for 3 nights. You'll be getting a greater value for staying at least 3 nights. In some cases staying a full 7 nights can get you the best promotions and prices.

Can I do a split stay with another resort in Jamaica?

Absolutely. We do this often for our clients. If you'd like, you can stay the duration of the group trip at Sandals South Coast and then we can book you to transfer over to any one of the 6 other Sandals Resorts properties or 2 Beaches Resorts properties in Jamaica.

Or any other resort chain you wish to stay at. Let us know you're interested in this when you submit your quote request and we will include that for you in the pricing.

Do I need travel insurance?

Our agency always recommends travel insurance to protect your vacation investment. Anything can come up from travel delays, cancellations, medical emergencies, hurricanes, etc. It's always nice to know you're protected while traveling abroad. Sandals Resorts has a partnership with TripMate and offers this protection plan for $124 per person (adult). We can add this onto your package if you choose to accept it. You may also choose to book your own insurance through a third party, or can look into coverage provided by your credit card company as well. Prices for insurance are always subject to change until paid for.

How do I book flights?

When you're ready to book them we can quote them and then add them into your Sandals package for you. Or if you prefer to book them separately you may do that also. It's actually recommended you book them separately so you have full control over your airline reservation should any changes, cancellations, or issues arise then we don't need to deal with the Sandals air department as a third party. If you book it yourself, you'll just need to let us know your flight information so we can arrange for your complimentary transfers with Sandals.

Do I need a passport?

Yes, you will need a valid passport in order to enter Jamaica and return to the USA. Our recommendation is to make sure that your valid passport does not expire within 6 months after the trip. We say this because some Caribbean countries follow a "Passport Validity Rule" which requires passports to be valid not only through the dates of travel but for an additional 6 months after. While Jamaica doesn't currently follow this rule at the time we've planned this group, that can change at any time and we don't want to chance it. For more current information on this rule, visit: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages/Jamaica.html

Please note: It will be at the traveler's responsibility to research passport requirements if they are not US citizens. In that case, please check with your country's official travel websites.

Please note: It will be at the traveler's responsibility to research visa requirements if they are not US citizens. In that case, please check with your country's official travel websites.

What are the current COVID-19 Protocols for Jamaica and returning to the USA?

At the time this group was created (2024), there were no restrictions or travel requirements needed to visit the island of Jamaica or return to the USA. However, due to the fluidity of the COVID-19 situation, all protocols are subject to change up until the date of travel. We advise all of our clients to keep a close eye on the official tourism website for Jamaica and the US State Department website to ensure they are updated with the most current information needed for their travels

Jamaica Tourist Board COVID-19 website: https://www.visitjamaica.com/jamaica-cares/

US State Department website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/covid-19-travel-information.html

Please note: It will be the traveler's responsibility to keep updated on COVID-19 travel requirements if they are not US citizens. In that case please check with Jamaica's official website. Any questions regarding official policies and protocols can be directed to your travel planner for further clarification.
